HIFIPOLY™ M5800

HIFIPOLY™ M5800 is a low-viscosity grade with high strength and modulus for injection moulding applications. When HIFIPOLY™ M5800 is applied to injection moulding compounds, the modulus of the compound is significantly increased and water absorption is reduced, providing strong assurance of product quality and performance.

Processing, Handling and Storage

Processing temperatures between 250°C and 290°C (482°F and 554°F) are suggested for initial evaluations. Maximum processing temperature should not exceed 300°C (572°F). Packages stored in cold rooms should be allowed to equilibrate to normal temperature before opening to minimize condensation. Pellets that have absorbed water from exposure to air may be dried using suitable drying conditions either at 100°C for 12 hours in conventional drier or vacuum venting during compounding process.

When tested according to the method given in 21 CFR 177.1500 (c), MX nylon meetsthe requirements of EC food packaging materials.

MXD6 is in compliance with EC-Directivesfor food packaging materials.
