| Applications | 1,4-Butanediol diglycidyl ether is used as a cross-linking agent for epoxy resins and is widely used in the field of polymer modification. It can undergo cross-linking reactions with a variety of polymers (such as polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polyester, etc.), significantly improving the thermal stability, mechanical strength, solvent resistance and weather resistance of the polymer. In the rubber industry, 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether is also used as a vulcanizing agent to improve the processing properties and final properties of rubber products.
In the coating industry, 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether is used as a cross-linking agent or curing agent to improve the hardness, wear resistance, weather resistance and chemical corrosion resistance of coatings. Through cross-linking reaction with the resin matrix, 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether can form a dense coating film structure and improve the overall performance of the coating. |
