Antioxidant 1010
Cas No. | 6683-19-8 |
---|---|
Chemical Name | Tetrakismethylene(3,5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxyhydrocinnamate)methane |
Introduction | Antioxidant 1010 is a high molecular weight hindered phenolic
primary antioxidant. It is a highly effective, non-discoloring stabilizer for organic substrates such as plastics, elastomers, synthetics fibres, adhesive and sealant, wax, oil and fats. It protects these substrates against thermo-oxidative degradation. |
||
Benefits | l Antioxidant 1010 has good compatibility, high resistance to extraction and low volatility.
l It is odorless and tasteless. l It can be used in combination with other additives such as co-stabilizers, e.g. thioethers (LTHS), secondary antioxidants, light stabilizers and other functional stabilizers, e.g., antioxidant 1010 with antioxidant 168. |

Application and
Guidelines for Use
Sales Specification |
At concentrations of 0.05% – 0.1%, antioxidant 1010 provides long-term thermal stability to the polymer.
In polyolefins the recommended concentration levels range between 0.05% and 0.4% depending on the matrix, processing conditions and long-term thermal stability requirements. In hot melted adhesives, it ranges from 0.2% to 1.0%, in synthetic tackifier resins, from 0.1% and 0.5%. |
